Mr. Chen Jining, President of Tsinghua University, His Party Visited the Zibo Hanhai Silicon Valley Life Science Park

On December 9 of US local time, Mr. Chen Jining, President of Tsinghua University, Mr. Chen Bin, Vice-President of Tsinghua University, and their party visited the University of California, Berkeley, and received a warm reception by Janet Napolitano, President of the University of California, and Nicholas Dirks, President of the University of California, Berkeley. Also Mr. Wang Hanguang, Chairman of Hanhai Zhiye Group, was invited to attend the dinner.
The main purpose that President Chen Jining visited the University of California, Berkeley is to enhance the interschool cooperation, expect to give play to the experience and advantages in running schools of Tsinghua University and the University of California, Berkeley, further explore the win-win cooperation model and promote the development of education in both schools. During the visit, Mr. Wang Hanguang, Chairman of Hanhai Zhiye Group, introduced the construction condition of the Science and Technology Park and Cultural Park in the US for four years to the Janet Napolitano, President of the University of California, and Nicholas Dirks, President of the University of California, Berkeley. President Chen also discussed patterns and prospects of the cooperation between the universities and incubators and the way of scientific technology industrialization with Nicholas Dirks, President of the University of California, Berkeley. Janet Napolitano, President of the University of California, and Nicholas Dirks, President of the University of California, Berkeley, fully affirmed the strategy and practice of setting up international technology platform and building international business innovative center of Hanhai Zhiye, and expressed the willingness to cooperate together to promote the landing and industrialization of technology.
In the meantime, Mr. Wang Hanguang also bestowed his elaborate calligraphy work, the motto of the University of California, Berkeley "May the light of knowledge shine on the earth," to Nicholas Dirks, President of the University of California, Berkeley wishing Berkeley University prosperous development and a new glorious chapter.
