On March 4, 2015, the Massachusetts State Government held a grand completion ceremony of Sino-American Enterprise Innovation Center (Boston) & Sino-American Enterprise Joint Development Platform, which also signaled the first completion ceremony of Sino-American cooperative institution historically held in the Massachusetts by the state government.
Charlie Baker, State Governor of Massachusetts, Dr. Li Jiansheng, Executive Chairman of US-China Cooperation Development Committee, Gene Hartigan, Co-chairman of US-China Cooperation Development Committee, Michael K. Thomas, Chairman of Higher Education Commission of New England, Juzzi, Chairman of Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce, Nam Pham, Deputy Director of Massachusetts Economic Committee, Wang Hanguang, President of Hanhai Zhiye Investment Group, Xie Jihua, Director of Shanghai Yangpu Venture Center, and Wang Mingxin, President of Chengdu Xingu Group attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony of Sino-American Enterprise Innovation Center (Boston), which was witnessed by scientists, entrepreneurs, investors and government figures from both China and America.
Sino-American Enterprise Innovation Center (Boston) is a cross-border innovative cooperation platform co-established b y Hanhai Zhiye Investment Management Group, Shanghai Yangpu Venture Center and Chengdu Xingu Group under the support of China’s Ministry of Science and Technology and the Massachusetts State Government. Established in February 2015, Sino-American Enterprise Innovation Center is located in the core of Massachusetts adjacent to world-famous universities and innovation agencies such as Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Harvard University, Microsoft Research Center and IBM Global Innovation Center, etc.
Sino-American Enterprise Innovation Center (Boston) will cooperate with US-China Cooperation Development Committee to build Sino-American Enterprise Joint Development Platform, become the acquisition platform of “interaction, exchange and transaction” between China and America, establish the interactive transformation platform between Sino-American technology, capital and market and promote integrative development of Sino-American international innovation.
At noon that day, Sino-American enterprise innovation exchange luncheon was held at Harvard University. CEO of American Association of Biological Medicine Pharmacy, cardiovascular specialists from Brigham and Women’s Hospital, specialists from Massachusetts General Hospital, international acquisition lawyers, financial experts, entrepreneurs, and guests present at the ceremony and Chinese entrepreneurs gathered and discussed innovation and cooperation. They reached a consensus that the establishment of a “Massachusetts-based and US-oriented” Sino-American Enterprise Innovation Center exactly meets the requirements of Sino-American enterprises, markets and governments. As China and America are the most important themes of world innovation, it is hoped that the center will create meritorious value in connecting the two themes.
